Understanding the reflection prompts

Each analysed session has a tab called For your own reflection. It lists moments where your own reactions may have been part of what happened in the room.

What it looks for

  • Defensiveness: your language becoming rigid or argumentative.
  • Over-identification: blending your own experience with your client's.
  • Avoidance: steering away from a difficult emotional topic.

Each moment quotes the passage, gives its time in the session so you can find it in the transcript, and ends with a question to sit with.

What it is not

These are prompts for your own reflection, not a score and not an evaluation of you as a clinician. Nobody else sees them. The analysis can be wrong in either direction: if a prompt does not fit, set it aside.
